Job Summary

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Supply Management Planner to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to support our production plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Expedite Material Delivery: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials, identifying opportunities for premium logistics alternatives to optimize costs and efficiency.
  • Process Supplier Non-Conformances: Work with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and expedite corrective actions to minimize disruptions to our production plan.
  • Develop and Maintain Supplier Relationships: Collaborate with the Supply Management Specialist to build and maintain strong relationships with assigned suppliers, monitoring and improving supplier performance through data-driven analysis and negotiation.
  • Execute Inventory Plans: Utilize systems parameters and material replenishment strategies to achieve inventory management and material flow goals, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Apply the Achieving Excellence process and criteria to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance supplier performance and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate Logistics Requirements: Work with suppliers to arrange logistics processes, including containerization, packaging, and shipping, to ensure seamless delivery of materials.
Requirements
  • Experience in Materials Planning or Buying: Proven track record of success in materials planning or buying, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and Excel, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
