Job Description and Duties

This position is pending Department of Finance (DOF) approval.

The Senior Structural Engineer will perform preliminary, triage, normal, expedite, and over-the-counter reviews of submittal documents pertaining to the more difficult types of structural engineering work in the design and construction of healthcare facilities as required to ensure compliance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations (CCRs) and other applicable codes, guidelines, and policies.

Conducts field observations as directed. Maintains current certification with appropriate licensing board.

Special Requirements

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you are meeting Minimum Qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts for verification. Official transcripts will be required upon appointment.

Applicants who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.
