We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at UChealth Memorial Hospital Central. As a Registered Nurse in our Outpatient Infusion department, you will provide direct patient care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other infusion therapies.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients receiving infusion therapies, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel, utilizing critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of infusion therapies, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other medications.
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
- At least 6 months of nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient infusion setting.
- ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification, either 6 months for new hires or 1 year for new graduates.
