Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our orthopaedic care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our surgeons in the operating room.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopaedic care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will be responsible for providing patient care, performing routine examinations, and assisting in surgeries. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with patients and staff, and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, including routine examinations, medical histories, and physical assessments.
- Assist in surgeries, including preparing patients, maintaining asepsis, and providing support to the surgeon.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in orthopaedic care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree or Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program with state license.
- Nurse Practitioner Certification (NP–C) or PA license, in good standing in the state of Colorado.
- Furnishing number and DEA license.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare providers.
- Up to date and current on CME credits, licenses and board certifications.
- If Nurse Practitioner, must have first assist certification.

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and/or working irregular hours. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
