This role serves as the primary contact for Member Services within a branch. Responsibilities include providing DMV and Notary services to meet members' needs. Additionally, the position supports the branch at reception by facilitating member check-ins and distributing travel-related materials such as maps and tour books.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver DMV registration services to members, ensuring compliance with current DMV regulations and completing transactions in accordance with established policies.
2. Assist at the reception desk, welcoming members and providing essential travel materials.
3. Identify opportunities for cross-selling based on members' needs, enhancing relationships by promoting a variety of products and services, including automotive and financial offerings.
4. Process Notary transactions in line with National Notary Association standards, maintaining necessary knowledge and certification.
5. Prepare TripTiks, International Driving Permits (IDPs), and process passport photos and travel routings.
6. Book car rentals, hotel accommodations, and domestic travel packages, while also selling insurance products.
Administrative Duties
1. Perform essential administrative tasks such as balancing cash drawers, managing ledgers, and resolving discrepancies.
2. Process payments for memberships and insurance policies, offering options for automatic renewal.
3. Manage membership file updates and facilitate upgrades to higher-tier memberships as appropriate.
4. Address ERS complaints and provide relevant materials to members.
5. Support corporate initiatives aimed at improving membership retention, including collecting valid email addresses and recognizing first-year members.
Qualifications
- High School GED required.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Moderate knowledge of Auto Club products and services, particularly in travel counseling and routing.
- Advanced understanding of DMV rules and regulations preferred.
- Proficiency in operating branch equipment and general computer skills required.
- Notary Public certification within one year is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $24.27. Full-time employees are eligible for an incentive program based on performance metrics.
