Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transaction attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial, corporate governance, and general corporate skills, with experience in SEC reporting a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support nVent's M&A strategies from deal consideration through integration
  • Review and negotiate complex transaction agreements
  • Advise senior nVent leadership and business clients on transaction-related matters
  • Manage internal and external deal processes
  • Support the enterprise legal team as requested, including with respect to corporate governance, subsidiary management, SEC reporting, commercial, and other matters
  • Provide direct legal support to enterprise functional teams, including finance, treasury, business development, risk management, real estate, and supply chain
  • Support contracting efforts, including reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and advising with respect to commercial agreements
  • Handle special projects and support continuous improvement of legal department standard work, knowledge management, and processes
Requirements
  • JD from an accredited law school of recognized standing and license to practice law in MN (or ability to waive in)
  • 5+ years of experience in M&A transactions, commercial, and corporate matters at a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Foreign language skills and/or international experience a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
