Job Description

TriVector Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner for our AMD Software Force Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for prioritizing and validating the development of software for our Force Operations (FO) Software development team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Prioritization: Work with Program management to set priorities for capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint.
  • Software Development: Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, and provide guidance to the development team.
  • Acceptance Criteria: Support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification.
  • Technical Briefings: Provide technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership on software development and product progress.
  • Status Reporting: Report on status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Requirements:
  • Department of Defense Secret Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship: Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Education and Experience: Have a bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics, with 7+ years of experience in Government/DoD experience.
  • Defense Design Knowledge: Good understanding of defense design and the following capabilities in a large system: resource laydown, plans and orders from higher echelon units (HEUs), radar initialization parameters, defense plan evaluation, and user interfaces.
  • Software Development Oversight: Ability to provide oversight to an FO SW development team and verify the team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews.
  • Agile Software Development: Ability to work directly with Agile software developers.
  • Microsoft Office: Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS Knowledge: Additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
  • Product Owner Experience: Prior Product Owner of a SW development SCRUM team is a plus.
