About the Role

The Medical Director will be a key leader in our hospitals, partnering with practice managers and hospital leadership teams to drive growth, development, and positive change.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting high standards of medical care and fostering a collaborative, professional environment
  • Supporting operational needs and financial goals with the practice manager and regional support team
  • Attending leadership planning meetings and completing goals within assigned timeframes
  • Leading doctor recruiting efforts and ensuring onboarding and integration of new doctors
  • Developing policies and protocols to maintain high standards of care and optimize workflow
  • Ensuring compliance with controlled drug policies, OSHA regulations, and state and federal requirements
  • Monitoring and overseeing doctor KPIs and financial data to achieve budget performance and goals
Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent from an accredited university with a license to practice in the state of the hospital location

Minimum of 3 years of practice experience

Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills

Sound medical reasoning skills and strong medical ethics
