Job Title: Anatomy & Physiology Tutor - Part-Time

Job Summary:

Lanier Technical College is seeking a part-time Anatomy & Physiology Tutor to provide academic support to students in the subject area of anatomy and physiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for tutoring students, meeting with students on a regular basis, and providing positive feedback and encouragement.

Responsibilities:

  • Tutor students in anatomy and physiology, providing individualized support and guidance.
  • Meet with students on a regular basis, either in-person or online, to discuss their progress and provide feedback.
  • Develop and implement tutoring plans to meet the needs of students, including creating and assigning tasks and providing positive reinforcement.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in tutoring and education.
  • Ensure the safety and security of students and staff in the tutoring areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of all required coursework in anatomy and physiology, including BIOL2113/BIOL2113L and BIOL2114/BIOL2114L.
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Previous experience as a tutor or in a related field.
  • Unofficial transcripts must be included with the application.

Preferred Qualifications:

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of vocational area of assignment.

Physical Demands:

This position is available at all Lanier Tech campuses, and day and evening times are available.
