Math Studio Tutor

Job Opportunity

The Math Studio at Santa Fe College is seeking a part-time Educational Aide Tutor to assist and promote active learning for Studio students. As a tutor, you will work closely with instructors to provide support and guidance to students in algebra courses. This is an excellent opportunity to gain teaching experience and develop your skills in a dynamic and multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to students in algebra courses
• Assist instructors in the performance of their duties
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six or more credit hours. You must also have either completed MAC 1140 or completed MAC1105 and have your instructor's recommendation. A criminal background check will be conducted. Tutoring experience is preferred, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment
• Proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs
