Cooler Warehouse Operations Role at Midland Farms Inc.

As a Cooler Warehouse Operations Associate, you will be integral to our logistics team, ensuring that products are handled with care and efficiency throughout the shipping process.

  • Conduct precise counts and document products on load-out sheets, including details such as quantity, product code, loader identification, and checker initials.
  • Detect and report any non-compliant products (such as incorrect codes, labeling issues, short fills, or leaks) for appropriate reprocessing.
  • Monitor product availability by code date both visually and through electronic inventory systems to maintain optimal product rotation.
  • Organize all items in the staging area to facilitate loading operations.
  • Complete necessary documentation and adhere to scheduled product inspections.
  • Apply safety seals on trailers and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Rotate, stack, and store items in the cooler while maintaining cleanliness in the work area during the shift and sanitizing affected products as needed.
  • Alert supervisors regarding any substandard or damaged products entering the cooler from production.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
  • Comply with all safety and security protocols.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently.
  • Follow all food safety and quality system requirements to meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and consistent work hours.
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a refrigerated warehouse or shipping environment is essential.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts is required.
  • Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and accurately document information is necessary.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be capable of standing, walking, kneeling, and bending for the entire duration of the shift.
  • Occasional climbing or balancing may be required.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of more than 75 pounds.
