About the Role
HCA Florida JFK North Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing patient conditions, and performing procedures as ordered by medical providers.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during admission to the Emergency Department and during your shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of Emergency Room patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Other-Fingerprint Required
