Position Overview:
The role of the Fire Alarm and Security Systems Specialist is to deliver exceptional customer service through on-site inspections, installations, repairs, and replacements of fire alarm and security systems. This position also involves conducting preventive maintenance services on various manufacturers' equipment.
Salary Range:
The compensation for this role ranges from $52,000 to $72,800 annually, commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with NFPA codes is preferred
- NICET Level I or II certification is advantageous
- Factory certifications from Low Voltage System Manufacturers as required by territory
- Ability to successfully pass a post-offer drug test, background check, and reference verification
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking are essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests on all equipment post-installation or repair to ensure system performance
- Adhere to the Company's safety manual, prioritizing the safety of oneself and others
- Maintain daily communication with Project Managers and/or Schedule Coordinators regarding inspections, project delays, and job statuses
- Mentor apprentices on Company procedures, inspection methods, and installation techniques
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA and Company standards, employing quality inspection and installation practices
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Schedule Coordinators, and Office Administrative Staff to ensure complete job closeout and turnover to clients
