Job Overview: The Surgical Technologist is accountable for executing technical duties associated with assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the availability and functionality of surgical instruments.
QualificationsEducation: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program or a military training program for surgical technologists is required.
License/Certification: Must possess a current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or meet the criteria outlined in NRS, sec. 1.(c). A valid BLS Certification is also necessary.
Additional Requirements: Active participation in AORT is encouraged. Candidates must demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care based on patient age.
