We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Risk Specialist to join our team at Markel Service Inc. as an Executive Underwriter. This is a key role that requires a deep understanding of cyber insurance and technology risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite new business and renewals in a profitable manner, adhering to established guidelines and authority levels.
- Participate in special projects that impact the business, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Utilize underwriting tools to determine accurate classifications, rates, and premium charges.
- Stay knowledgeable about state laws, including cancellation and non-renewal, to ensure proper business transactions within each state.
- Assist with resolving premium audit disputes and provide coaching to others.
- 5-10 years of current Cyber and Technology E&O Underwriting expertise with Fortune 500 clients.
- Extensive progressive Cyber and Technology E&O Underwriting expertise, marketing, and sales acumen, as well as executive leadership in Cyber and Technology E&O risk management.
- Ability to enhance Markel's position in the US Cyber and Technology E&S marketplace through external engagement and communication.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate while developing positive broker relationships.
- Proven expertise in working in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that contribute to product line clarity.
