As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and executing all maintenance tasks associated with the Company's vehicle and trailer fleet, construction machinery, and tools. Your role is crucial in ensuring cost efficiency, reliability, safety, and adherence to regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles, trailers, construction machinery, and tools.
- Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, and any modifications to the fleet.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant DOT regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
A diploma or associate degree in Automotive Service/Technology; ASE certification; a minimum of five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and driver requirements.
- Certification as a DOT inspector or familiarity with DOT inspection protocols.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record; possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's License with HazMat and Tanker endorsements or the ability to obtain these credentials.
- Strong customer service orientation and adaptability to various interpersonal situations.
- Effective multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Additional essential skills include planning and organization, problem-solving, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a sense of urgency in completing assignments efficiently.
