About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic thinker to lead and manage the functions and activities of the Land Use Planning Team.

The successful candidate will deliver land use planning advice to government, planning decision-makers, industry, and other stakeholders, and contribute to the Division's business management and strategic direction.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of Land Use Planning, operate effectively and independently at an executive level, and demonstrate integrity and accountability.

They will also have the talent to influence and build trusted working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and be a problem solver with the ability to remain calm and collaborative under pressure.

This is a highly demanding role that will suit someone who is passionate about protecting communities from bushfire, comfortable delving into detail, and brings energy and drive to their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Land Use Planning Team
  • Deliver land use planning advice to government, planning decision-makers, industry, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the Division's business management and strategic direction
  • Develop and implement land use planning strategies and policies
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Highly experienced and strategic thinker
  • Knowledge and experience of Land Use Planning
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently at an executive level
  • Integrity and accountability
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure

Eligibility

You must be an Australian Citizen or hold permanent residency.

A current National Police Certificate is required prior to commencement.
