Geotechnical Internship Opportunity

Terracon is seeking students in civil, geotechnical, or geological engineering degree programs for an internship. Internships run from May to August, with Co-Op opportunities available from May to December.

Opportunities are available across the US. The Terracon internship program supports our Geotechnical service line.

In this program, you will work alongside engineering minds and state-of-the-art technology in the geotechnical engineering industry. You will learn and advance technically, with opportunities for professional development. A leader/mentor in the geotechnical engineering field will help you with career planning and technical skill development.

You will learn how our line of business interacts with clients and how we differ from design engineers. You will also learn about consulting engineering.

During the summer, you will have the opportunity to learn about laboratory safety and safe work practices, laboratory testing capabilities, soil test procedures, and more.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Performs sampling or testing as directed.
  • Seeks learning opportunities from mentor.
  • Provides assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel.
  • Assists other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks.
  • Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and pursuing a BS or Master's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering.
  • The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS or MS degree.

The expected salary range for this position is $22.80 per hour. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
