POSITION OBJECTIVE
The role involves delivering a comprehensive range of financial services, including account management, time deposit renewals, and addressing client inquiries and issues. Additionally, in collaboration with the Teller Supervisor, this position is tasked with training and motivating lobby staff to enhance customer service and effectively promote bank products and services. A foundational understanding of basic deposit and loan offerings is essential, along with the ability to identify sales and referral opportunities to achieve related objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures proficient execution of financial service operations.- Educates clients about Bank products and services, assisting them in fulfilling their financial requirements, which includes managing checking, savings, time deposit, and retirement accounts, as well as handling safe deposit boxes, savings bonds, credit cards, and basic consumer loans.
- Addresses client inquiries and resolves issues by actively listening, gathering information, and providing solutions.
- Analyzes client profiles to uncover sales prospects.
- Utilizes lead generation techniques and other strategies to enhance business development.
- Responds to client requests and inquiries in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
- Processes new client accounts and updates existing accounts, including name and address changes, product modifications, and other maintenance tasks as required.
- Safeguards the confidentiality of customer account information.
- Upholds and promotes the Bank's professional image.
- Provides assistance to team members as necessary.
- Keeps the Banking Center Manager informed of significant developments and challenges.
- Accurately completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Participates in meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
- Oversees year-end reporting and special projects relevant to the banking center, such as audits.
- Reviews new account entries for accuracy as needed.
- Supports Treasury Management with new client accounts and services.
- Ensures daily logs are accurately maintained and organized for review.
- Actively promotes Bank products and services, aiming to meet sales targets.
- Completes related administrative tasks as necessary.
- Maintains a clean, secure, and organized work environment.
MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS
- Financial service operations are conducted efficiently and in accordance with established policies and security protocols.
- Strong client relationships are maintained, with prompt resolution of inquiries and issues.
- Effective collaboration exists with team members and management, with appropriate support provided to staff.
- All required reports and records are accurate and submitted on time.
- Consistent efforts are made to cultivate new client relationships and enhance existing ones through effective sales strategies.
- The Bank's professional reputation is upheld and communicated effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
Strong understanding of financial services and products offered.
Experience Required:
Prior customer service experience is essential.
Experience as a Personal Banker is preferred.
Previous banking experience is advantageous.
Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional communication and public relations skills.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Proficient in operating relevant computer applications and business equipment.
Strong numerical and bookkeeping skills.
