Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in the imaging process, working closely with medical staff to ensure accurate and safe examinations. This position requires a strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as a commitment to radiation safety and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Perform examinations according to established protocols, demonstrating a high degree of accuracy and awareness of radiation safety principles.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in equipment operation and quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a JRC-approved program in Nuclear Medicine technology.
  • Prefer one year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and one year of recent experience in PET or PET/CT.
  • NMTCB registered or ARRT registered with NMT certification, as well as, hold a state operators license for PET/CT.
  • BLS issued by AHA required.
