The Mechanical/Dimensional Inspector II role is a key position at SIG SAUER, Inc., offering an estimated annual salary of $55,000 - $65,000.

Job Overview:

SIG SAUER, Inc. is a leading provider of firearms and electro-optics, with a rich history dating back over 250 years. As a Mechanical/Dimensional Inspector II, you will be responsible for performing moderately complex mechanical inspections to ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify inspection data using double gaging to ensure component integrity and resolve discrepancies found during part inspection.
  • Routine setup and execution of moderately complex inspection programs, troubleshooting issues that may arise in reported output and calibration.
  • Interpret dimensional tolerances and apply them to components of enhanced complexity, identifying external specification referenced in technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and other disciplines to resolve quality issues and drive root cause analysis.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace through participation in 5S activities and requesting maintenance assistance when needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 3-6 years of related work experience.
  • Ability to interpret datum structures and correctly apply GD&T according to ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and ability to complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Effective communication skills to share problems and corrective actions with supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software.

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks while standing (90%+ of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
  • Shifts vary from 8 to 12 hours, with occasional overtime required based on business needs.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required and comply with EH&S training requirements.
