About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at KIK Consumer Products. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including safety inspections, to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, using your expertise in mechanics, fitting, plumbing, and other relevant areas.
  • Operate a range of machinery and equipment, including mill, lathe, drill press, grinder, and saws.
  • Setup, takedown, and relocation of process and packaging equipment.
  • Perform electrical work, including troubleshooting and repair of process instrumentation/control systems, voltage systems, and PLC-related issues.
  • Work independently to identify and repair equipment issues, with minimal supervision.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum 4 years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 45lbs, and perform repetitive motions, sitting, standing, and bending.
  • Comfortable working in non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management software.

This position has a base salary range of $25.00 – 38.00, plus eligibility for a quarterly incentive bonus. The actual salary may vary based on several factors, including relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
