Position Overview

These services may include one-on-one consultations, collaboration with military leadership, conducting informative briefings, and providing external referral resources as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized financial counseling and management services to military families.
- Assist service members in creating effective spending plans for extended periods away.
- Develop and distribute educational financial materials tailored for military families.
- Organize and promote a variety of Personal Financial Management workshops covering essential topics relevant to the military lifecycle.
- Address requests for age-appropriate financial education sessions.
- Utilize virtual counseling tools and secure online communication methods effectively.
- Manage situations requiring urgent intervention in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
- Engage with leadership and participate in regular supervision sessions to discuss trends and issues affecting assigned installations.
- Contribute to ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and other relevant activities as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required; however, candidates with an associate degree and four years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with six years of experience, may also be considered.
- A minimum of three years of experience in financial counseling is essential.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens and fluent in English.
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 1 investigation is necessary.
- Possession of one of the following certifications is required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $53,125 and $84,995, reflecting national data. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience. This role may also be eligible for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, life, and other voluntary benefits aimed at enhancing overall well-being.
