Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Vascular Ultrasound Examinations: Conduct thorough and accurate ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other areas as needed, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with Physicians: Work closely with physicians to explain treatment plans to patients, addressing their specific needs and ensuring effective treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain a Clean and Efficient Environment: Set up and clean procedure rooms, exam rooms, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient, adhering to strict standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Perform Additional Ultrasound Exams: Conduct additional ultrasound examinations as required by treatment plans, ensuring the effectiveness of treatment and patient safety.
  • Manage Patient Flow: Adhere to standard time allotments for each type of ultrasound exam, maintaining efficient patient flow and ensuring timely care.
  • Collaborate with Office Staff: Work with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review ultrasound schedules, ensuring availability of ultrasound technicians and maintaining patient load at an efficient and productive level.
  • Develop and Maintain Quality of Work: Continuously develop and maintain quality of work and skills, adhering to company standards of care through ongoing education and interaction with other ultrasound technologists.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Supply Management: Maintain equipment and manage supply inventory to ensure continued and effective operations.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Completion: Hold a certificate of completion from an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Certification: Be a Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS) or be able to earn certification within 90 days of hire.
  • High-Volume Environment: Possess the ability to work well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Multitasking and Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team.
