About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Cake Decorator - Bakery Expert to join our team at Sam's Club. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating visually stunning baked goods that exceed our members' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless bakery operations, communicate effectively with colleagues, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Be an Expert Baker: Plan and execute bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs, following recipe measurement instructions, and working with a variety of products to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
  • Be a Tech-Savvy Baker: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make informed business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
  • Be a Performance-Driven Baker: Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events that impact bakery volume.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products, interact with associates to understand roadblocks, and assist in training to develop, influence, and inspire a team-oriented work style.
  • Comply with Company Policies: Implement related action plans, use the Open Door Policy, and apply standards of ethics and integrity in executing business processes and practices.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have 6 months' experience in a fresh production area.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Acknowledge that the position requires successful completion of all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
