We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at American Ballet Theatre (ABT). As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and well-being of our dancers.
Job Summary:The Physical Therapist will be responsible for planning and administering physical therapy treatment plans to restore function, manage pain, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of our student dancers.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide physical therapy diagnosis through patient evaluation
- Use exercises, stretching, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage pain and increase mobility
- Record students' progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and family members about the recovery process
- Coordinate with ABT staff, medical specialists, and other healthcare professionals
- Fully licensed Physical Therapist in New York State
- 3+ years of experience in physical therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with a streamlined staff and resources
- Comfortable with administrative technology and scheduling software
A competitive salary of $1,200-$1,700 per week, 12-15 hours per week, 30-31 weeks between September 1 and May 31.
