Role Summary: The Housekeeper is tasked with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across all facilities. This includes both interior and exterior spaces, as well as assisting with the arrangement of furniture and equipment for various activities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in janitorial practices.
  • Knowledge of health and sanitation standards, preferably with sustainable cleaning methods.
  • Equivalent training and experience may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Ensure cleanliness of restrooms, shower areas, locker rooms, and kitchens.
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling furniture for events.
  • Regularly dispose of waste and recyclables.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies and entryways.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of outdoor spaces including sidewalks and landscaping.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure facilities are well-maintained and functional.
  • Document cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings and maintain punctual attendance.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Mental and Physical Demands:

This role requires effective prioritization and organization of tasks, with a focus on detail and efficiency. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure is crucial. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform various physical activities.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with colleagues and the public, ensuring a positive and professional demeanor.

Equipment Utilization: Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, cleaning carts, and various cleaning chemicals is essential.

Work Environment: Most duties will be performed indoors, with occasional attendance at training sessions.

Clearance Requirements: Candidates must pass a criminal history check, with consideration given to the nature of any convictions.
