Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer is a pivotal member of the Executive Team, reporting directly to the College President. This role is dedicated to safeguarding the financial integrity of the institution, ensuring both immediate and future fiscal health, managing business operations, and aligning financial resources with the college's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the president to develop and sustain long-term financial projections for the college.
  • Keep abreast of both internal and external financial and operational trends.
  • Support the achievement of strategic goals through comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Assess the financial implications of both instructional and non-instructional initiatives.
  • Regularly communicate the college's financial status to various stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of the annual budget.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes that impact financial planning.
  • Supervise the annual audit process and present the final audit report.
  • Track cash flow and oversee investment activities.
  • Provide guidance on financial risk management and expenditure controls.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
  • Maintain relationships with governmental officials and engage in legislative matters.
  • Analyze and interpret data related to student services and academic programs.
  • Coordinate the development and submission of grants and proposals.
  • Engage in Foundation Board activities and act as a liaison for investments.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:
Master's Degree in accounting, business, or a related discipline.

Essential Skills:

  • At least five years of supervisory experience in a higher education business office.
  • A collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in operational and strategic planning, policy formulation, and financial analysis.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
