Job Overview

Crunch Fitness is on the lookout for a dynamic and driven leader with direct experience in fitness to join our team as a Personal Training Manager. If you have a passion for health and wellness, along with a proven track record in team leadership, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary goal of the Personal Training Manager is to enhance member engagement in our paid Personal Training Services, thereby increasing retention rates. This will be achieved by:

  1. Overseeing and mentoring the initial engagement process for new clients.
  2. Guiding the delivery of personal training services to ensure high standards.
  3. Managing the client experience throughout their journey with our programs.

The Personal Training Manager is tasked with upholding company standards and leading by example, ensuring that all team members adhere to expectations regarding punctuality, attire, friendliness, and cleanliness.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Personal Trainer is preferred, along with prior management experience in a retail or hospitality setting leading a team of 3-10 employees.
  • Consultative sales experience is advantageous.
  • Current Accredited Personal Trainer Certification from recognized organizations.
  • Current CPR AED certification is required.
  • Physical Requirements include the ability to demonstrate fitness techniques and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Desired Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of personal training methodologies and program design.
  • Excellent sales, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with Crunch programs and tools.
  • Experience in coaching and motivating groups.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards member service.
  • Ability to respond professionally to inquiries from guests and staff.
  • Capability to operate all club equipment effectively.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Engaging in direct sales by conducting a significant portion of CrunchOne Kickoffs.
  • Coaching and supporting personal trainers in their sales techniques.
  • Managing schedules and resources based on key performance indicators.
  • Ensuring the effective execution of the Client Journey, particularly in the initial 90 days.
  • Guaranteeing that all Personal Trainers provide high-quality programs backed by scientific principles.
  • Overseeing the administration of Personal Training Services, including program design and progress tracking.
  • Recruiting, training, and evaluating a team of qualified Personal Trainers.
  • Conducting performance review meetings with direct reports to provide guidance and motivation.
  • Maintaining clear reports and data to monitor business performance.
  • Communicating insights and plans for improvement to the General Manager.
