The shared services accounting division at HORIBA is seeking a proficient Cost Accountant to support our operations. This position demands a strong understanding of cost accounting methodologies, principles, and practices to accurately determine unit costs, set standards, and uncover cost-saving opportunities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in financial analysis, process enhancement, and overall accounting support.
Key Responsibilities:
Streamline accounting functions while demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow Navigate through ambiguity and exhibit capability in independent tasks Improve financial outcomes through thorough analysis of results, budgets, forecasts, and trends Identify potential areas for improvement and efficiency, providing recommendations to management Establish standard unit costs for products and operational processes Evaluate product and project costs, focusing on material variances and labor efficiencies Perform physical inventory reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities Propel enhancements in financial systems, controls, and processes Generate detailed periodic and ad-hoc financial reports Conduct market research and comparative analysis to derive financial insights Assist in financial reviews and audits conducted by external auditorsRequired Competencies:
