About the Role

The IAM Security Engineer Intern will play a crucial part in broadening, curating, and automating the functionality and maturity of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) infrastructure. This role is ideal for individuals who have a desire to learn Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts, technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades. They will also have the opportunity to foster Innovation and Automation in developing and/or supporting the introduction of new and improved methods, products, procedures, or technologies. Additionally, they will work in an environment that serves our Nation's military, veterans, Guard and Reserves along with their families.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, candidates must be currently pursuing a degree in higher education or be a recent graduate. They must also have experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions. Preferred qualifications include experience with IAM technologies such as IGA, PAM, CIAM, AM, Federation, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and understanding of Active Directory concepts. Familiarity with Information Security Frameworks and best practices, preferably NIST 800-53; NIST and CSF, is also a plus.
