Job Summary

The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Psych Technician to join our research team in the Department of Genetics. As a Psych Technician, you will play a critical role in conducting genomics studies of autism and sleep, working closely with researchers and clinicians to collect and analyze data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and screen participants for research studies, including individuals with autism and their family members
  • Administer quantitative measures of behavioral traits, including autism and sleep traits, using standardized assessments and questionnaires
  • Collect and enter data into the REDCap database, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Participate in data analysis and graphing, working closely with researchers to interpret results
  • Attend weekly lab meetings and research team meetings to discuss progress and share knowledge
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree and 0-1 year of experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
