Adolescent Psychiatry Nurse

Cleveland Clinic's Fairview Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Adolescent Psychiatry Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to children and adolescents with acute behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric disorders.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, while maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, ensuring a smooth transition to community-based care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to manage their mental health and well-being.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- RN experience in behavioral health and/or pediatrics.
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
