Job Summary:

Cleveland Clinic's Fairview Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Adolescent Psychiatry Unit. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to children and adolescents with acute behavioral, emotional, and/or psychiatric disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating, and revising patient care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, and educate patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, or military RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
  • RN experience in behavioral health and/or pediatrics.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
