Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at American Esoteric Laboratories. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and collecting high-quality specimens for laboratory testing.
About the Role:
This is a full-time opportunity working first shift, Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour workweek. You will be responsible for:
- Providing patient-centered care and ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
- Collecting blood and non-blood specimens from patients of all ages.
- Ensuring proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
- Championing safety, compliance, and quality control in the laboratory.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians and 2+ years of laboratory experience in specimen collection and processing are highly valued.
