General Shale, a leading manufacturer of brick and masonry materials, is seeking a Production Manager for our production facility. The successful candidate will oversee departmental operations within a highly automated manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include:
- Directing and Motivating Employees: Ensure compliance with production and quality goals, safety policies, and company rules.
- Maintenance and Equipment Management: Coordinate maintenance repair work and ensure equipment is kept in proper working condition.
- Process Improvement: Utilize problem-solving and critical thinking techniques to improve process and safety issues.
- Production Scheduling: Organize production schedules to ensure the maximum utilization of equipment and personnel.
- Inventory Management: Ensure production inventory accuracy, periodic physical counts, and adjustment requests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, computer literacy, and mechanical aptitude.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and robotics is a plus.
