Position: Trauma Surgical Nurse - Part Time, Day Shift
Hours: 7 AM - 7 PM
Incentives: Sign-on Bonus Available
The surgical unit comprises 29 beds, catering to a diverse patient demographic that includes surgical, trauma, and various medical cases. Our surgical procedures primarily focus on the neck to the abdomen, encompassing gastrointestinal surgeries such as colon and small bowel resections, cholecystectomies, and appendectomies. Additionally, we manage vascular surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, and maxillofacial operations. Patients may present with ostomies, nasogastric tubes, feeding tubes, and drains.
Trauma patients may exhibit multiple injuries, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and other drains, yet are stable enough for admission to a non-ICU/step-down medical-surgical floor.

Key Responsibilities:
The staff nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, employing nursing processes to:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Operate within the framework of organizational policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
- Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities among assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Experience:
New graduates of a nursing program are welcome to apply.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Georgia or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification is mandatory.
Additional Qualifications:
For PRN Positions:
One year of nursing experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Advanced certification in the relevant specialty is advantageous (refer to addendum).
