The Production Associate is a key member of the Fresh Cuts team, responsible for supporting the line leader in daily operations and maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient production line. This role requires strong analytical skills to identify and address problems, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Meet Production Standards: Perform tasks at a standard rate and communicate with leadership when performance falls below expectations.
- Monitor Performance Metrics: Stay aware of production performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain a Safe Workspace: Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and ready for sanitation, including the floor, tables, cutting boards, and equipment.
- Quality Control: Maintain quality specifications of unfinished products.
- Product Preparation: Prepare, cut, and repack products according to customer specifications.
- Machinery Operation: Operate equipment such as potato peelers, bag sealers, and others.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the work area.
- Adhere to Safety Procedures: Follow sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production to SQF standards.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Related industry experience preferred, with a general understanding of processing procedures.
- Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, bi-lingual preferred, limited computer skills, and willingness to learn lean manufacturing processes.
- Physical Demands: Able to lift and move 25-50 pounds, stand for long periods, and frequently stoop and bend.
