About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Better Health Group Inc. Defunct. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of patient care duties under the direction of a healthcare provider, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting with procedures.
  • Triaging incoming phone calls and patients, explaining treatment procedures, and preparing exam rooms for examination.
  • Providing patient and provider support during procedures, cleaning and sterilizing reusable instruments, and performing clinical duties such as administering medications and performing lab tests.
  • Completing electronic medical records, monitoring disposable inventory, and ordering medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed.
  • Assisting with front office registration, patient check-in/out, and referrals, as well as providing patient education and support.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant experience, with an accredited program preferred (RMA or CMA).
  • CPR certification and IV start certification preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience and knowledge of medical coding, HIPAA, and OSHA.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.
  • Types 25 words per minute with 96% accuracy.
