Position OverviewAs a vital member of our healthcare team, the Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physician to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care. This role involves providing comprehensive support in various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and surgical environments.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including health history and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, ensuring timely follow-up on results.
- Administer therapeutic procedures, including injections and wound care.
- Develop and implement effective patient management plans, documenting progress and facilitating continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, health maintenance, and lifestyle modifications.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Participate in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as necessary.
Experience: Not applicable
Education: Must be a graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
Licensure: A valid Physician Assistant License in California is required upon hire, along with the Physician Assistant National Certificate and Basic Life Support certification.
Additional Requirements- Fluoroscopy Permit is required for specific specialties, to be obtained within 18 months of hire.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
