Position Overview:

We are seeking a Premium Accounting Clerk II to play a crucial role in our operations.

In this position, you will be tasked with ensuring the prompt and precise application of premiums for all individual and group policies at Globe Life, along with specialized payment applications, including add-on payments and electronic transactions from banking institutions. Additionally, you will handle various reporting and reconciliation duties as assigned. You will be expected to make informed decisions based on the information provided and the policies set forth by the Premium Accounting Department. The Premium Accounting department manages $315MM in monthly premiums and $3.8B annually.

This role is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (Work from Home on designated days).

Responsibilities Include:


• Conducting payment research and applying it to both individual and group policies.


• Performing daily balancing and reporting tasks.


• Reviewing and resolving electronic payments from banking institutions.


• Balancing and resolving daily bank drafts.


• Analyzing transactional data and processing necessary entries for account reconciliations.


• Reviewing and addressing entries on the consolidated error log.


• Processing add-on requests and payments.


• Managing system administrator duties for Premium Processing software, ImageRPS.


• Assisting with the responsibilities of the Premium Accounting Clerk I as required.

Qualifications:


• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.


• A college degree, preferably an Associate or Bachelor's degree, is preferred.


• 1-3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.


• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.


• Proficiency in operating a 10-key calculator is essential.


• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.


• General accounting knowledge, including familiarity with general ledger entries, is necessary.


• Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct complex research across multiple systems.


• Strong multitasking abilities.


• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent interpersonal skills.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Availability to work overtime as needed.
