The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales function, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective customers in the industrial starches sector.

Your primary focus will be on driving account penetration, expanding relationships, and negotiating customer agreements that deliver against our annual operating plans. You will also be responsible for developing and executing account plans, monitoring variances, and working closely with internal teams to improve customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a sales professional with a strong track record of success in the adhesives and building products industry. You should have in-depth knowledge of the market, including insights and trends driving consumer demand. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with customers, internal departments, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive account penetration and expand relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Negotiate customer agreements that deliver against annual operating plans
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Monitor variances and work closely with internal teams to improve customer satisfaction
  • Communicate with management through regular CRM updates and participate in sales meetings and conference calls

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced sales professional with a strong track record of success in the adhesives and building products industry. You should have:

  • Experience in account management and relationship development
  • Strong knowledge of the adhesives and building products industry, including market trends and consumer demand
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed environment
  • Visible leadership skills and ability to communicate customer needs and market insights to internal departments
