We are seeking a skilled Point of Care Medical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team.

This role requires proficiency in conducting medical tests at various point of care locations, coupled with excellent customer service skills.

As a Point of Care Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely results for healthcare providers and patients.

This position involves travel to multiple, local locations, where you will deliver high-quality service and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform point of care diagnostic tests in diverse clinical settings.
  • Ensure adherence to established protocols and quality control standards.
  • Operate and maintain point of care testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver prompt and accurate test results.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare personnel.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to point of care testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of tests performed.
  • Participate in continuous education and training programs as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
  • Certification (e.g., ASCP) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in point of care testing.
  • Proficiency in performing a variety of point of care tests (e.g., glucose, hemoglobin, coagulation).
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to point of care testing.
