About the Role:

We are seeking a Safety and Customer Service Professional to join our team at First Student. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing operational oversight and day-to-day management of our routes. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe transportation of our students and passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the welfare of passengers while in route and communicate any behavior problems or conditions of various stops with the driver.
  • Assist in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus and ensure that all necessary safety checks are completed.
  • Cooperate and communicate with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a positive and safe experience for all.
  • Attend all safety and training meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct emergency evacuations from the bus, including the use of exiting by emergency door.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Early morning availability and ability to manage high degrees of stress.
  • Judgement/problem solving skills and ability to work independently.
