Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in Middle School Social Studies (Grades 6-8)
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and projects that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Utilize data-driven instruction and educational frameworks to inform instruction and drive student achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education
Program Planning and Management
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide programs and initiatives
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute special projects and events
  • Utilize effective systems to track progress, evaluate workflow components, and communicate with colleagues and administrators
Human Resources Planning and Management
  • Establish a positive, healthy, and safe work environment that promotes a culture of respect, inclusivity, and excellence

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Valid Indiana State Teaching License or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of education
  • Prior successful full-time education experience in a similar setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality programs and production
  • Excellent organizational management and data disaggregation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in technology
  • Prior experience in charter schools
  • Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of the organization
