We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at NHC. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by providing exceptional food service and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and serving of patient meals, including therapeutic diets and special requests.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the dietary department, including dishroom and kitchen areas.
- Operate food service equipment, such as dishwashers and food warmers, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure excellent customer service.
- Participate in in-service training and education to stay up-to-date on dietary policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in food service or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift 50-60 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
The Dietary Aide will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to heat, steam, and chemicals. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude is essential.
