Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our acute care therapy team at Memorial Hermann Health System's Woodlands Hospital. This is a supplemental position requiring a minimum of 2 weekend days and 2 weekdays per 6-week period, with hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and rehabilitate patients of all ages with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders of functional or neurological origin.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to facilitate the development and maintenance of human communication and swallowing ability.
  • Document patient progress and provide instruction to patients and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with speech therapists and management team to develop and implement program initiatives.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to staff, and serve as a resource and mentor for assistants, students, interns, and rehabilitation technicians.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited university-based program.
  • Current license to practice speech/language pathology in the state of Texas.
  • Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • One year of experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to mentor and train staff.
  • Ability to commit to elected commitment schedule with flexibility in scheduling and movement within patient care areas.
