We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to students with a wide range of disabilities in a school-based setting in New York City, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students' functional abilities and challenges related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students' needs, with a focus on improving their physical, cognitive, and social skills.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group sessions, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' goals and progress.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on students' therapy needs and recommendations for accommodations.
  • Train teachers and families on strategies and tools to support students' occupational development in the classroom and at home.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid New York State Occupational Therapy license.
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
