Behavioral Health Specialist

As a Case Worker - Behavioral Health, you will provide a wide range of social work functions, including assessment interviews, client counseling, and case evaluation, to individuals, groups, or families in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct intake process and crisis intervention with individuals requesting services, including completion of all forms pertaining to the services being requested.
- Assess client needs and provide referrals to appropriate community services, including financial assistance or healthcare.
- Explain processes, rules, and regulations surrounding the eligibility and maintenance of services being provided with the client prior to submitting applications.
- Engage clients in participating in the development of their individualized goals and advocate on their behalf when necessary.
- Follow up on services to ensure participation and program compliance, and document all services in compliance with the agency's quality assurance plan.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of two to three years of experience in a closely related position or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
- Some licensing and certifications may be required depending on the assigned functional area.
Normal business hours, with some additional hours required. May be required to be on-call 24/7 based on assigned functional area. Local and in-state travel may be required based on assigned functional area.
