About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team at Manatee Physician Alliance. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of responsibilities and requests related to patient billing and collections.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the billing, claims, and collection support for the physician practice.
  • Review all documentation to ensure appropriate billing practices are being adhered to.
  • Ensure all claims are scrubbed and clean prior to release.
  • Notify CBO of error/erroneous billings and ensure timely filing is met based on payer requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with management and providers to resolve billing issues.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical billing with a primary focus on daily clinic processes and collection activities.
  • Understanding of healthcare terminology, processes, and workflow of patient accounting.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record or equivalent billing software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical, organizational, and time management skills required.
